Pre-Kindergarten

Our Pre-K class is offered for children who are 4 years old by September 1st and fully toilet trained. Pre-K classes are held Monday through Thursday.

Teachers use a variety of methods to facilitate learning in our Pre-K class. The room is arranged in learning centers that relate to the weekly theme. The teachers change the center activities weekly (or more often) to reflect both the classroom theme and the concepts they are focusing on. A letter and number of the week will be introduced during circle time and integrated throughout the classroom activities.

Children are active learners so our Pre-K focuses on play, sensory activities, concrete objects, and real-life experiences to guide children’s learning. Students have special days and celebrations throughout the school year and end the year with a walking field trip to the park.

Children will continue to develop independence and self-help skills with higher expectations and shared responsibilities in caring for their classroom.

Students attend weekly chapel which consists of songs and a short bible story led by church staff in the main sanctuary.
