Mother’s Day Out
The two year old MDO classes care for children who turn 2 by September 1st. The focus of our 2 year old classes is to encourage social skills and provide a fun and engaging early school experience. Loving caregivers assist children in learning to separate from their parents and feel safe at school.
In our 2 year old classes, children are introduced to the concept of learning centers which change weekly based on theme (for example: dinosaurs or gardening). Our learning centers include dramatic play, sensory, science, manipulative, blocks and music/movement. The classes enjoy a daily circle time with songs, fingerplays and interactive stories and a bible story read aloud daily.
While children play they learn social skills such as sharing and taking turns. Teachers encourage children to become independent by learning self-help skills such as handwashing, potty training, and putting things in their proper place. Each classroom has access to a bathroom with toddler sized toilets and sinks.
